This policy covers both the Crade web app and the Crade iOS app.
1. What we collect
When you use Crade, we process the following data:
- Screen/camera data: When you share your screen (web) or use your camera (iOS app), images are sent to Google Gemini API for analysis. We do not store these images on our servers.
- Chat messages: Your questions and AI responses are stored on our servers so you can access your chat history across devices, linked to your account.
- Anonymous product logs: We also keep anonymous logs of message content and AI responses, plus the name of the app you were using (e.g. “Google Chrome”, “Excel”) and, if a browser, the domain (e.g. “github.com”) — never the full URL or window title — for product analytics and improvement. These logs are not linked to your account or any identifier — we cannot tell which user sent any given log entry.
- Account info: If you create an account, we store your email address and credit balance.
- Purchases: When you buy credits in the iOS app, the transaction is processed by Apple. We receive confirmation of your purchase but do not have access to your payment details.

3. Third-party services
We use the following third-party services:
- Google Gemini API: Processes your screen/camera data and chat messages. Subject to Google's API Terms.
- Supabase: Account management and credit balance storage.
- Edge TTS: Text-to-speech voice generation for AI responses in the iOS app.
- Apple In-App Purchase: Payment processing for credit purchases in the iOS app.
4. Data retention
Screen and camera data is processed in real-time and not stored. Account-linked chat history is kept until you delete your account or the chat. Anonymous product logs are kept for analytics and may be retained indefinitely; because they are not linked to your account, deleting your account does not remove them (and there is no way to identify them as yours). You can delete your account and all account-linked data at any time from the app settings.
